Defending Dissent and the Movement for Black Lives

The Murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis Police Department brought thousands of people to the streets demanding justice for George Floyd and the affirmation that Black Lives Matter. These individuals, who demanded the dismantling of racist structures built over the past 400 years, wer emet by overwhelming repression – armed military units, teargas, rubber bullets, curfews, and hundreds of arrests.
