Each year, the MABL Foundation raises money to award scholarships to students attending local law schools who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and who are committed to addressing issues that impact the black community. These students are recognized and honored at the gala, along with the recipient of the MABL Profiles in Courage Award (to be announced), awarded to an individual who has demonstrated courage, excellence, and integrity in furthering the Association's mission of representing the interests of black citizens in the legal profession and judicial system.

This year's gala will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by an amazing dinner and program, and ending with dessert and entertainment.

Our keynote speaker is White House Correspondent April Ryan.  In addition to her role as a White House Correspondent, Ms. Ryan also serves as the Washington, D.C. Bureau Chief for American Urban Radio Networks.

    This year, MABL will honor:

Chief John Freutel, Minneapolis Fire Department, Profiles in Courage Award
